Meet the Survivor Families

Why Holocaust Education Matters Today

As we approach the loss of the final living Holocaust survivors, the responsibility to preserve and share their stories becomes increasingly urgent. Holocaust education is not only about understanding the past—it is about recognizing the consequences of hatred, antisemitism, prejudice, and indifference in the present. At a time when misinformation spreads rapidly, antisemitic incidents continue to rise globally, and fewer young people have the opportunity to meet survivors firsthand, preserving survivor testimony has never been more important.

The Last Holocaust Survivors: Never Again Is Now was created to ensure that these voices continue to educate future generations. Through intimate interviews with Holocaust survivors and their descendants, the film explores memory, resilience, identity, and the lasting impact of intergenerational trauma. By connecting historical events to contemporary challenges, the project encourages audiences to think critically about the responsibilities of citizenship, empathy, and remembrance.

Developed in collaboration with leading Holocaust education and advocacy organizations, the film serves as both a historical record and an educational resource. Through partnerships with StandWithUs, March of the Living, 3GNY, educators, historians, and survivor communities, we are committed to creating meaningful opportunities for learning, dialogue, and action that extend far beyond the screen.

Educational Impact

The Last Holocaust Survivors: Never Again Is Now was designed not only as a documentary film, but as a lasting educational resource that empowers students, educators, and communities to engage deeply with Holocaust history and its relevance today. Accompanying the film will be a comprehensive educational toolkit featuring age-appropriate curriculum guides, discussion questions, classroom activities, survivor testimony clips, educator resources, student worksheets, suggested paired texts, and project-based learning opportunities. These materials are designed to support instruction in history, English language arts, social studies, civics, Jewish studies, and genocide education.

Developed in consultation with educators, Holocaust scholars, survivors, and leading educational organizations, the program encourages students to explore themes of memory, resilience, identity, moral courage, antisemitism, and intergenerational trauma through a contemporary lens. Through partnerships and collaborations with organizations including StandWithUs, March of the Living, 3GNY (Third Generation Holocaust Survivors), and other Holocaust education institutions like USC Shoah Foundation, United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Yad Vashem, or Museum of Jewish Heritage, the project seeks to extend learning far beyond a single screening experience. By connecting survivor testimony with meaningful classroom engagement, The Last Holocaust Survivors: Never Again Is Now helps ensure that the lessons of the Holocaust remain accessible, relevant, and impactful for future generations. We are actively licensing the series and educational toolkit to schools and educational institutions. Find out how we can partner together today.
